Ingredients:
Almond Milk (Step 1 of 2)
1 cup almonds, soaked overnight
3 cups water
For this recipe, I make the nut milk using 1 cup less water than usual. Simply place the soaked almonds and water into a blender, and blend on high until well blended. Strain the milk from the pulp using Avena's Amazing Nut-Milk bag. Now let's turn the milk into chocolate milk!
Chocolate Milk (Step 2 of 2) 3 cups chilled almond milk
½ – ¾ cup raw agave nectar (depending on how sweet you like it)
3 rounded Tbsp. raw cacao powder (Avena's cacao nibs ground in a grinder)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch of Celtic sea salt
6 – 7 ice cubes
Directions:
Place 1 cup of the nut milk into a blender with three rounded tablespoons cacao powder. Blend together until the milk has a smooth, rich, chocolatey color. Then add 6 to 7 ice cubes and blend until smooth. Serve in chilled glasses for extra cold chocolate milk!
